About Us

DoughMazing began with two sets of hands—mine and my daughter’s—shaping dough, painting paper, and making messes during long days at home. I’m a designer and a mom, raised by an artist who taught me the beauty of creating with your hands. That love for art, passed from one generation to the next, is now woven into every kit I make.

What started as sensory play at our kitchen table turned into a deeper belief: kids learn best when they’re free to explore, imagine, and play openly. My playdough kits aren’t just to keep little hands busy—they’re thoughtfully designed to spark creativity, support learning, and bring joy to your home.

Thank you for being here. I’m so happy to share this little bit of homemade magic with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the color-changing playdough work?

Our magic dough changes color with temperature! Warm it with your hands or cool it with an ice mold and watch the transformation happen — it's a fun and engaging sensory experience that also teaches basic science concepts.

Is the playdough safe for young children?

Yes! All our doughs are made with non-toxic, taste-safe ingredients. While not meant for eating, they're safe for little hands to squish and explore. Always supervise young children during play.

How long does the playdough last?

With proper care (sealed in the container after use and clean hands), our playdough stays soft for 2–3 months or even longer! If it begins to dry out, a drop of water and gentle kneading can revive it.

Can I buy just the color-changing dough?

Yes! We offer individual jars or trio packs of our signature color-changing playdough in fun themes. Check out our shop section for "playdough" options.

What age is this best for?

Our kits are designed for ages 3 and up, but many younger toddlers enjoy it with supervision. It’s great for preschoolers, early learners, and even older kids who love sensory play or STEM-based fun!

Are the digital mats printable?

Yes! Our digital mats are sent as a PDF file. Just print them at home and use with any playdough (but we recommend ours for the full color-changing fun!).
